Sorry these photos are rather blurred, we had to practise in a darken room so the shutter speed wasn't fast enough
This is what I've been working on for the last couple of weeks. As part of a theatre showcase we created a giant UV puppet Circus act and I was heavily involved in designing, drawing and making them.
I'm not going to tell how these tricks were done (UV code of secret *L*) because a good magician doesn't tell so you'll just have to employ me instead: XD

The first act was the clown (me *L*) who gets the lion to balance a big red ball (the blur!) on its nose. As you can see with the 3 people operated lion that the puppets were big. I had a lot of difficulty with the weight of them either pulling the joints apart or the card flopping and breaking. I solved both problems but repairing them was a constant job.

Another of the acts was a caterpillar cannonball that turns into a butterfly after it gets shot out. One of my favourites for the cleverness of it. The butterfly puppet is also one of my favourites because of the genius design. The cannon also had a cool burning down fuse effect too

The sword swallower was a fun puppet as his head opens up completely. He swallows his way through a pencil, swords, chair, piano and hat stand. There was another trick involved in making the objects disappear as he swallowed them! Again I was pleased with my idea behind this one
.
My other favourite puppet had to be this juggling octopus. He was also the biggest of them all and there were 6 people involved in this act so it took some co-ordinating on the operator's part. I just love how I've drawn his expression though everyone recons he's on drugs *L* also like the juggling balls esp. the jellyfish!
Sadly I don't have a good picture of the tightrope walker, which got the biggest laugh due to its amusing design and clever operation.
