The Shadow Falls

Chapter 2

  In that time, outside the town, Blacka was hiding in the shadows of the woods in the East Black Forest . She was so quiet - even the wild beasts couldn't hear her... But she wasn't thinking of that right now.

"Great, They have comeback and we don't know what to do! I'm not even sure that anyone will know that...Uh, if only Iarno was here, he would know what to do... but he is... dead " She shook her head, trying to forget about it, but she couldn't. Her best friend was dead and she was feeling guilty. He died while trying to protect her from the Valharons some years ago. Because of her, everyone were dieing, because of her... No she it was too painful to think about this and tried to refresh her thoughts "Now back to the old topic, think Blacka, think"

  She looking the sunset "Great, the day has ended and I haven't thought of anything...Oh well; I have all night. Hmm Wolfzirina and Aleios always have fresh ideas, I should visit them" She turned, transforming in to her simple wolf form and ran to Wolfzirina and Aleios.

As The Black Wolf raced to find her friends, Astra descended the tower stairs. She stopped on one of the landings and spoke to Triny. "Please can you prepare the great hall for our guests?" Triny straightened her bow and nodded "I shall, you can count on me" She smiled and dashed off.

Lady Astra turned to the nearest door and knocked. Luckily Raven was in so she entered the room. It was like walking into organized chaos. The main portion of the room was a workshop where many experiments were going on, but in a logical and organized way. Astra was glad that was some reasoning to it, as she hated untidy messes. There was a sleeping area through an arch but Raven was engrossed with something on his desk in the workroom and had not even noticed what was going on outside. His black hair was swept back into decorated silver bands that caught the light from the window.

"Raven, I need your assistance with some guests" said Astra. Raven looked up at her in surprise which his mis-matched eyes. The left one was blue like normal but the right one was purple where he had gotten faery ointment in it. Lady Astra thought for a moment and then added, 'do you know where Domino Jack is?'

'How should I know? Do I look like his nanny or something?" Raven grumped before catching Lady Astra's expression.

'Never mind, I just hope he has the sense to stay out of the way' said Astra.

They descended the stairs together and waited in the arch of the front gate for their 'guests' to arrive.

  It was around Midnight when Blacka stopped near some rocks. She heard something behind her and tuned quickly. "Arrrhhhh!!!" someone shouted behind her and jumped so close that Blacka fell in fright. "Hahahah, you silly! Don't you remember me? The one with no name, dear" laughed a female voice in the shadow.

"NoName! You scared me to death!" said Blacka.

  At last the girl who was hiding in the dark came out and helped The Black Wolf to stand up. "What are you doing in this dark place, you little Night creature?" she asked

"It's not your job to know! Where are Wolfzirina and Aleios?" The Black Wolf looked at NoName with little anger

  "Hm, why do you think I know where Herakol and Servantes are? It's not my, how did you say it? Oh yeah job "

  "Don't try my patience! You know where they are!"

  "Yeah, sure, They are over there" she pointed with her finger towards a cave "I don't know what are they doing there though"

  "Fine, thanks"

  "You think I don't know about Them, but sorry to disappoint you, Blacka"

The Black Wolf didn't answer to that, she knew NoName, and she hadn't changed in all those years...

  Soon she found Wolfzirina and Aleios. They talked about Them , but they didn't reach any decision.

  "So now you are working in hiding, secret agent Black Wolf, uh?" asked Aleios

  "How did you know that?" Blacka replied, surprised by the question

  "A bird told me. And the same bird told me that The Half-Death One is in the tower" she smiled at her knowledge "and now what secret agent, you ask us for help, but in front of the power of Them we can't do much better than run..."

  "...Just like cowards!" Blacka finished with anger "You are going to run and leave all this like it is, just to save your little lives!"

  "And so what?! I can run faster than Them ! And so I'm gonna do it!"

  "Oh yeah, of course you are gonna run! You can do only that!!" shouted Blacka

  "Stop it right now! Blacka came here to talk about ideas, not to blame each other!" said Wolfizirina "Now, we can't help. They have come too far. The are killing everything they see, and are coming from North to South..."

  "Okay, thanks for the information, I'm going on North..."

  "What?! You can't go there, they will kill you!" shouted Aleios

  "They won't. Moonlit and Angel Wings-Devil Song are always with me and I'm gonna hide. And if I know their plans and get to Lady Astra before them...it's plus for us..."
